I am so so sorry to hear of your loss. Pete was clearly special to all who met him and I am so grateful for how I was able to know him in my life: he at one point or another for me was a neighbor, a dad, a doctor, a boat driver, a confidant, an adventurer, a protector, and a friend. I remember the last time I was able to talk with him and introduce him to my husband and boys and my husband also remembered him. I am truly saddened to hear of this loss and hold Pat, Heidi, Kari, and the rest of your family in my prayers.
ReplyDeletePete was such a nice man. I enjoyed working with him. It was sad to see him suffer after the stroke. I am glad his suffering is over, but we will miss his pleasant smile and cheerful attitude. Jeff Ries
ReplyDeleteWhat words can do justice to such a tremendous loss? Pat, Heidi and Kari and family - The Hechts and Ellises are thinking of you and here to help in any way. Pete was an amazing torch of spirit, fun, and goodness - so many people feel lucky to have known him, myself included. XO Mia
ReplyDeleteI'm really going to miss you Pete... Although I had known you for only 3 years through Etchells/BYC Sailing, you've had a profound impact on my life!! I'm really bummed!!!!
ReplyDeletePat, Heidi & Kari,
ReplyDeleteI am deeply sorry for your loss. What a special man Peter was. He has left so many impressions on me. I remember being very young over at your house and him taking us water skiing. I was up one time for about 20 minutes and Heidi and Pete were dying at how many times he had to take me around the lake. He was laughing while Heidi was of course making fun of me. Peter was always such a thoughtful and intelligent person and a phenominal physician. He will be greatly missed. You are all in my prayers and thoughts.
Love,
Jill
